EVENT VENUE
​The event is staged from Blackpool's Middle Walkway, which is the road parallel to the main promenade opposite the Grand and Imperial hotels. The nearest postcode is FY1 2JQ.

The event venue facilities are open from 6.30pm. Remember, we don't have time limits on our events so there is no need to worry about anything closing down! Just concentrate on enjoying your run.

REGISTRATION CHECK-IN
The collection points will be open from 6.30pm. All competitors must wear a personalised bib number on the front of their running top or jacket. The bib number also carries the chip timing tag which must be clearly visible as you go over the start and finish lines. Safety pins are available if required.

When you have collected your bib number, there is a contact/medical form on the back which needs to be completed before you start. When you're ready it needs to be pinned to the FRONT of your running top, with the silver timing tag visible. Don't bend, remove, break or stick any pins through your tag as it won't work!

COLLECT FROM OUR OFFICE
If you live local, you can collect your bib number from our office on Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th between 10am-4pm. Our address is Unit 1a, Hoo Hill Industrial Estate, Blackpool FY3 7HJ
T-SHIRT COLLECTION
If you have pre-ordered a commemorative tech t-shirt, you can collect it from the t-shirt stand located next to the bib collection points. You will find a voucher in your bib pack. Please present this to the stewards who will exchange it for your t-shirt.
START
Both the 10k and 5k start together at 9.00pm sharp. The start is located 200m further north on the middle walkway from the registration area. It will be a 'mass start' of competitors, however for those who are still cautious about social distancing, the start line will be open for 15 minutes to allow for a quieter start. The event is chip timed so your tag will only activate when you cross the start line.
RUNNING ROUTES
Your running routes are on the main Promenade, running through the world famous lights on a fully closed road. The 10k turns at the Sandcastle Waterpark and the 5k turns just after Blackpool Tower. Click the buttons below for more detailed route information.

WATER STATION
A water station is available at the halfway point supplying 500ml bottled water. Shortly after the station you will see a large bin to throw your bottle into. Please use these and don't litter the route. Water is also available at the finish for both the 10k & 5k.
BAGGAGE STORAGE
You will find a baggage storage marquee located next to the collection points. Use this facility to store essential items you will need for when you have finished your run. Do not leave any valuables as this area is not manned.
CAR KEY STORAGE
We have a key drop facility available. Use your empty envelope after collecting your bib number to place your keys in and hand to a member of staff at the bib collection points for safekeeping whilst you are competing. 
MEDALS & AWARDS
All finishers will receive their beautiful blingtastic GLOW IN THE DARK medal at the finish line.
​Individual prizes will be awarded in the following categories;

• First 3 10k Men Overall
• First 3 10k Ladies Overall
• First Male 10k Veteran over 40/45/50/55/60/65/70+
• First Lady 10k Veteran over 35/40/45/50/55/60/65+

• First 3 5k Men Overall
• First 3 5k Ladies Overall


Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, there won't be a prize-giving on the night. Prize vouchers will be posted out to winners after the event.
RESULTS
Shortly after the last competitor has finished, the results will be published on the events website​. The results will show your official event time and your personal chip time. If you have any problems with your results we will try and sort as quickly as possible for you. Drop us an email giving as much detail as possible to admin@fyldecoastrunning.org. 

IMPORTANT! If you have entered the 10k event and on the night choose to run the 5k instead, then you must let us know as soon as you can after the finish. Make your way to the timing station next to the finish line.

MEDICAL SUPPORT
The amazing team of Paramedics from Remote Medical Services will be onsite for the duration of the event. There will be facilities available at the start/finish area and roaming bikes on the course itself. If you need any assistance please notify a marshal on the course who will get help for you.
CAN'T RUN
If you are unable to compete on the day, do not despair, we have several options open to you so you don't lose your entry fee! 
  • Defer your place to the 2023 event
  • Change to another event on the FCR calendar in 2022/23
Simply use the ENTRY OPTIONS form to make any changes as required. Please note we do not give refunds as per the entry terms and conditions. 24 hours minimum notice required.
